§ 2.16.030. Appointment.

On November 3, 2009 the voters of the city of Willits passed Measure B, making the position of city treasurer appointive rather than elective. Pursuant to Government Code Section 36510 the city council shall appoint the city treasurer to hold office at the pleasure of the city council. The city treasurer is not required to be a resident or elector of the city.
